Fantastic Private Touring in Kyoto - 5/5
"Today we had the pleasure of being guided by Mr. Shozo Saka of MK Taxi. We visited many places (Kinkakuji Temple, Ryonaji Temle, Nijo Castle, Gion, San-ju-san Gendo Temple, Fushimi Inari Shinto Shrine). We also had lunch at a delicious noodle shop (Ramen Noodle Tenkaippin) at Shozo's recommendation. As we were driving, Shozo told us all about Japanese history as it relates to the places we visited. He was able to answer all of our questions and was very engaging for all of us, including our 12 and 14 year old kids. At each place, he was able to give us far more information than we would have had just walking around on our own. He knew about places where we could see something interesting that were not crowded with people. He showed us several places to take photos with no one else around (even at Fushimi!). Shozo was extremely polite, gracious and considerate. He worked hard to make the most of our time with him and we all agree that Shozo is the best tour guide we've ever had. His passion for Kyoto and his years of experience made today one we won't forget."

"Isao Tanahara san was our tour guide and our driver, he was professional and considerate like prepared a hand warmer for each of us when greeted us at the hotel lobby. We visited many famous places in Kyoto in one day, started at Fusimi shrine, then Kinkakuji, Bomboo forest, Zen rock garden and end at Nishiki market, Isao san speaks very good English, he narrated during our visit at each place. This was our first time to Kyoto, we are glad to have a local guide to introduce history of Kyoto as Japan old capital city. It definitely made our day. Price charged by MK was reasonable too, custom-made itinerary for 7 hours, [...] we were a group of five []. The reservation was smooth, very quick respond. The car was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend MK to those who like hassle-free tour around of Kyoto!"
